Accessibility Policy

Our website accessibility

Knockhundred Translations wants to make its services available to as many people as possible.

Some speech synthesizers get confused by framesets. Knockhundred Translations doesn't use frames to display the information.

For those who are visually impaired, the text on our site can be enlarged. We also use increased contrast between our text and any background colours across the site. We believe that the information is displayed more clearly and is more readable as a result.

Some combinations of colours are difficult to read for people with colour blindness. We have avoided these combinations wherever possible.

“Chunking” is a method of presenting information by splitting concepts into small pieces or "chunks". This makes reading and understanding faster and easier. The text on our website has been reduced and “chunked” wherever possible.

If you find anything on our website that you think is not accessible for whatever reason, please let us know.

Equality of opportunity and human rights

Knockhundred Translations will, under any and all circumstances, to the best of its knowledge and belief, comply with both current and future legislation governing Equality and Human Rights. We promote equality and work in a manner reflecting best practice as identified in the Codes of Practice issued by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Knockhundred Translations will provide services in a manner that challenges existing and prevents future discrimination.

We will monitor service usage to ensure specific needs of service users belonging to disadvantaged groups are met.

Knockhundred Translations adopts a position of advocacy and encouraging positive action to be taken where appropriate in regards to equality, both in its employment activities and service delivery. Working with thousands of linguists worldwide as well as its own in-house Project Managers and other staff, Knockhundred does not discriminate on the grounds of disability, gender (including gender reassignment), marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion, sexual orientation or age. Knockhundred Translations has a continuing management review process in place to ensure that Protected Groups are promoted, treated fairly and equality of opportunity is preserved and safeguarded.
