Arabic Advertising, PR, Marketing, Transcreation and Translation

We work with a lot of creative marketing and advertising companies providing Arabic language versions of adverts, strap lines/end lines, tag lines, concepts, posters, brochures, slogans, online content, tv scripts and radio scripts. Our task is to deliver the message irrespective of language and culture.

Arabic translation of advertising, PR and marketing material

If required, our specialist Arabic translators can provide a faithful translation of the original source copy. During this process, the linguists will of course take into account localisation and cultural factors to ensure the material is just as appropriate to its new audience as it was to its original audience.

Our Arabic translators’ experience in this sector means you will be able to use marketing material that’s as effective in the target language as it is in the original language.

Arabic transcreation of advertising, PR and marketing material

Transcreation is the creative adaption of copy in the target language, so the text will be completely re-written in a foreign language. We have a team of Arabic copywriters specialising in transcreation and adaption working in over 100 markets.

As part of the process, it will be important for us to understand your communication objectives as the meaning of the original message may change in the Arabic language version, but the persuasive effect must remain as forceful.

Unless otherwise instructed, all Arabic transcreations are reviewed by another linguist, and are back-translated. Any number of draft versions can be supplied for your feedback and comments until we get it just right.

Arabic brand name linguistic analysis

Because some brand names and slogans have unexpected cultural connotations, we also have an experienced team of Arabic brand checking analysts. They can ensure your logo or slogan will not be misinterpreted.

While you’re here... some quite interesting facts about the Arabic language

Currently, Arabic is the fifth most spoken language in the world. Arabic originated in the sixth century, but earlier versions of the language existed, including the Safaitic dialect, an old Arabic dialect used by the pre-Islamic nomadic inhabitants of the Syro-Arabian desert. Some of its inscriptions date back to the first century. Different variants of Arabic language exist and depend on geographical locations.

Arabic sample text

سنو َن تُعا ُد وده ٌر يُعي ْد *** لعمرك ما في الليالي جدي ْد
َ هذا الهال ُل *** فكيف تقو ُل الهالل الوليد
َء آلدم
أضا
نعد عليه الزمان القريب *** ويُحصي علينا الزمان البعيد
َي فيما يبيد
*** يبيد الليال
ومن عجب وهو َجد الليالي
يقولون يا عام قد ُعد َت لي *** فيا ليت شعري بماذا تعود
Years return, a returning age
There’s nothing new within the nights.
This crescent lighted up for Adam
How come they call it the born crescent?
We count upon it the near time
While the far time counts upon us.
I wonder how while it’s the nights’ grandfather
It wipes up the nights, among what it wipes.
They say, oh year, you came back to me
I wish I could know what you came back with
