Slovak Language Services for Events

Hero Curve Element

Experienced Slovak linguists for your event

Planning an event in Nottinghamshire or elsewhere? You have come to the right place.

Creating, producing and running events is not for the faint-hearted and you will need a steadfast and experienced partner by your side.

We have learnt over the years that there can be so many facets to organising a successful event, and that for any event to be successful, you need all the elements to be truly accessible. This might mean ensuring your event is accessible to the Deaf, hard of hearing, blind and partially sighted, but if you are planning an event for a global organisation, then your content will need to be available in the relevant languages. We cover a large range of languages including Slovak so just let us know how we can help.

Why choose us?

There are at least 3 really good reasons:

  1. We have an amazing team of dedicated project managers ready to work with you to make your event successful. They are backed up by an equally amazing team of linguists and voice over artists willing to take up the challenge.
  2. Our costs are realistic, so much so that many of our colleagues in the language industry treat us as another trustworthy pair of hands that they can afford to bring on board.
  3. We have the experience and we know what a deadline means. One of our most recent challenges was to provide material for an online event. We prepared scripts in 20 languages for 18 videos and corresponding voice overs over 8 weeks. We had a very happy (and relieved) client.

While you’re here… some quite interesting facts about the Slovak language.

Slovak is a Western Slavonic language spoken by about 5.6 million people in Slovakia and also in Canada, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Ukraine and the USA. Slovak is closely related to Czech, Polish, and Sorbian. Documents in Slovak started to appear in the 15th century, however a widely accepted literary standard for Slovak did not emerge until the 19th century. Slovak literature flourished between 1918 and 1938 when the Slovak-speaking area became part of Czechoslovakia, though the Czech majority did not all recognise the separate status of the Slovak language. Since the demise of Czechoslovakia in 1993, Slovakia has been an independent country and the Slovak and Czech languages have started to drift away from each other, though they are still more or less mutually intelligible. Where is Slovak most widely spoken?

Slovakia, the European Union and Serbia. Slovak is a recognised minority language in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Croatia and Ukraine.
