Serbian voiceovers

Hero Curve Element

Working together with our experienced and qualified translators, voiceover artists, interpreters, audiovisual translators, transcribers and subtitlers, we offer a wide range of language services.

Available in over 200 languages within the UK and beyond, our linguists can get you heard in any language of your choice. While we do not offer a walk-in service, we are only one phone call away from discussing your language requirements.

Professional Serbian male and female voiceover artists

We have an amazing team of male and female voiceover talents at your disposal.  So that we can provide demo recordings for you to listen to, we’ll need to know a little more about your project.

What is the difference between voiceover and dubbing?

We often find that the terms are used interchangeably, but they are actually completely different services.

A voiceover will provide the narrative voice of a film, video or audio file.  The voice will likely not inject emotion into the content and is more commonly used in material such as documentaries or explainer videos.

If your material needs to be dubbed, then it is likely that you are looking for a certain level of intonation, dialect and emotion.  It usually means that the voiceover artist will be replacing a different language voice but will be mimicking the style and delivery of the original. Precise synchronisation will be important.

Where will your material be aired?

Some of our Serbian voiceover artists charge usage fees depending on where the material will used.  We try and be as flexible as we possibly can on this. Let us know where our voices will be used so that we can advise whether any fees will apply.

What sort of Serbian voice do you need?

The most obvious starting point is to establish whether you need a male or female voice.  Perhaps you need both?  Perhaps there are multiple characters…

Should the voice sound middle-aged, young, serious, timid, confident, playful, deep, husky or clear?  If required, we are also able to provide children’s voices.

Please let us know what you need and we will either choose for you, or, if you prefer, we can send you demos so that you or your client can choose.

Do you have a prepared script in Serbian?

Do you have a script in the source language of your material?  Or a prepared script in Serbian?  Please don’t worry if you do not have this.  Our team of professional audiovisual translators will be able to prepare time coded scripts in the languages you need for the voiceover talents.

The audiovisual translators will pay special attention to reflect the style and tone of the original and to keep the script to a similar length and rhythm of the existing speech in the recording.

Request demos of Serbian voices

There are so many variables, we can’t include all our male and female Serbian voices here. Once you know the scope of your project, just get in touch with the details and we will send you over some samples appropriate to your specifications.

Voiceover studio editing

We work with partner studios around the world, but we also have our own in-house state-of-art studio with a soundproof recording booth.

Depending on your requirements, high-quality Serbian voiceovers can simply be provided as a WAV or MP3 file.

Alternatively, you may require the voice to be synced, edited and mixed to the precise timings of the source video.  Provided you give us any other audio tracks as separate files, the voice over can be incorporated into the video so that you are ready to go!

Just let us know what you need and we’ll do the rest.

Example of text to speech voiceover

The simple explainer video below was created using AI voices.  This gives you an idea of what you might expect if you decide to go down this route.  The voices aren’t perfect, but the service is proving popular for some projects. Double-check with us if your material would be suitable and that we have suitable AI voices in the language(s) you require.

How is the cost for Serbian voiceover work calculated?

  • By the number of minutes
  • Depending on how many speakers within a video
  • Depending on whether mixing and synch is required
  • Usage

While you’re here… some quite interesting facts about the Serbian language.

Serbian is the standardized variety of the Serbo-Croatian language mainly used by Serbs. It is the official language of Serbia, the territory of Kosovo, and one of the three official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition, it is a recognized minority language in Montenegro where it is spoken by the relative majority of the population, as well as in Croatia, Macedonia, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. Standard Serbian is based on the most widespread dialect of Serbo-Croatian, Shtokavian (more specifically on Šumadija-Vojvodina and Eastern Herzegovinian dialects), which is also the basis of Standard Croatian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. The other dialect spoken by Serbs is Torlakian in southeastern Serbia, which is transitional to Macedonian and Bulgarian. Serbian is practically the only European standard language whose speakers are fully functionally digraphic, using both Cyrillic and Latin alphabets. The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet was devised in 1814 by Serbian linguist Vuk Karadžić, who created the alphabet on phonemic principles. The Latin alphabet was designed by Croatian linguist Ljudevit Gaj in 1830.

Where is Serbian most widely spoken?
