Completed by qualified and experienced Lingala translators
Our talented Lingala linguists
All translation work is conducted by highly qualified translators. We ensure that each individual project is undertaken by the most suitable Lingala translator whose educational and professional background matches the project in hand.ย This is why we are able to tackle material as diverse as a mobile device advertising campaign, legal contracts, patient information leaflets, technical manuals, website localisation projects and doctorโs reports.
The performance of our translators is assessed against key performance criteria: accuracy, consistency, knowledge of subject terminology, formatting and completeness. Their submissions are monitored by our quality team to ensure high standards are maintained.
With the exception of linguists covering languages with rare status, as a minimum, our translators:
- must have a relevant first degree, postgraduate qualification or corresponding qualification
- are able to demonstrate a number of years full time work in an appropriate field.
We assign a project manager to every assignment to ensure the project runs smoothly and is delivered on time and within budget.

While youโre here… some quite interesting facts about the Lingala language.
Lingala is a Bantu lanuage spoken mainly in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and in the Republic of Congo, and also in Angola and the Central African Republic. There are thought to be 5.5 million native Lingala speakers, and 7 million second language speakers in the DRC. The Lingala of today is based on Bangi (Bobangi), a language that was spoken along the Congo River between Lisala and Kinshasa, and which is still spoken in parts of the DRC and the Republic of Congo. Bangi was the regional trade language until the arrival of the Europeans in the late nineteenth century. After the Europeans arrived, Bangi became the lingua franca for the region and was used in administration and by missionaries. Over time it became simplified, borrowed words from other languages, and started to be used in most domains. This version of the language became known as Lingala. Courtesy of Omniglot
Where is Lingala most widely spoken?
Lingala is spoken as a first, second, and third language primarily in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the Republic of Congo (Congo-Brazzaville), and in parts of five neighboring central African states: Northwestern Angola, eastern Gabon, southern Central African Republic, and southwestern Sudan.Get in touch with one of our lovely project managers and they would be very happy to discuss all the available options with you.
