Russian Subtitles and Captions for Advertising Agencies

Russian Subtitles and Captions for Advertising Agencies

Advertising agencies cast individuals from all over the world and often their interviews need subtitling into English.

Usually a number of ‘hopefuls’ will be filmed during a casting session. These interviews can be filmed in (literally) any language, but for our most recent project, we’ve been working on some Russian to English SRT subtitles, for casting videos.

These media files are usually around 10-15 minutes in length. Typically, the interviewer will ask the interviewee a number of questions related to their personal and professional life, in an effort to get to know them a little better. And if the questions and answers are in Russian, then we need to subtitle into English.

The volume of material we receive is wildly divergent. Occasionally, we’ll receive two or three five minute files…. But it’s not at all unusual for us to receive several hours of material and for our clients to ask if we can complete it all for the following day (i.e. with a 24 hour turnaround)! While this may sound impossible, with careful planning, it is doable! We have a team of Russian linguists who are really experienced producing subtitle files at short notice, whatever the format the client demands… HTML, Final Cut Pro XML, Spruce STL, Subrip (srt) (or SRT!) the list goes on and on and on.
