Romanian PR, Marketing, Transcreation and Translation
We work with a lot of creative marketing and advertising companies providing Romanian language versions of adverts, strap lines/end lines, tag lines, concepts, posters, brochures, slogans, online content, tv scripts and radio scripts. Our task is to deliver the message irrespective of language and culture.
Romanian translation of advertising, PR and marketing material
If required, our specialist Romanian translators can provide a faithful translation of the original source copy. During this process, the linguists will of course take into account localisation and cultural factors to ensure the material is just as appropriate to its new audience as it was to its original audience.
Our Romanian translators’ experience in this sector means you will be able to use marketing material that’s as effective in the target language as it is in the original language.
Romanian transcreation of advertising, PR and marketing material
Transcreation is the creative adaption of copy in the target language, so the text will be completely re-written in a foreign language. We have a team of Romanian copywriters specialising in transcreation and adaption working in over 100 markets.
As part of the process, it will be important for us to understand your communication objectives as the meaning of the original message may change in the Romanian language version, but the persuasive effect must remain as forceful.
Unless otherwise instructed, all Romanian transcreations are reviewed by another linguist, and are back-translated. Any number of draft versions can be supplied for your feedback and comments until we get it just right.
Romanian brand name linguistic analysis
Because some brand names and slogans have unexpected cultural connotations, we also have an experienced team of Romanian brand checking analysts. They can ensure your logo or slogan will not be misinterpreted.

WHILE YOU’RE HERE... SOME QUITE INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE Romanian LANGUAGE
Romanian is a Romance language spoken by about 24 million people mainly in Romania, Moldova and Ukraine. Romanian retains a number of features of Latin, such as noun cases, which have disappeared from Romance languages. Romanian contains many words taken from the surrounding Slavic languages, and also from French, Old Church Slavonic, German, Greek and Turkish.
Romanian first appeared in writing during the 16th century, mainly in religious texts and other documents. The earliest known text in Romanian dates from 1521 and is a letter from Neacşu of Câmpulung to the mayor of Braşov. Neacşu wrote in a version of the old Cyrillic alphabet similar to the one for Old Church Slavonic, which was used in Walachia and Moldova until 1859.
From the late 16th century a version of the Latin alphabet using Hungarian spelling conventions was used to write Romanian in Translyvania. Then in the late 18th century a spelling system based on Italian was adopted. A version of the Cyrillic alphabet was used in the Soviet Republic of Moldova until 1989, when they switched to the Romanian version of the Latin alphabet.
