Who are our English transcriptionists?

They are all human for a start!  Unless absolutely specified by a client as part of the scope of a particular project, all of our transcriptions are carried out by humans rather than by machine.

Our English transcriptionists are English native speakers and many are able to accurately pick-up accented speech too.  The 3 main countries they originate from are: UK, USA and Australia. Any spellings specific to these countries can be applied to your transcripts.

They pay attention to detail and will always do the research to try and establish any unusual spellings, brand names, places or people.  Any extra information, glossary or lists of participants you can supply when you commission the work with us, is always very welcome.

On average our English transcriptionists can type at a speed of 50 words per minute and will follow any required formatting instructions.

Is there a standard transcription template?

We have a large number of standard templates that you are welcome to use.
We are however aware that some clients prefer that we use their own, branded version and that transcription conventions across different companies can vary. Just send us your guidelines and template and we will be happy to adopt these for your projects.

If you would prefer to use one of our tried and tested templates, please contact one of our project managers to discuss your material and they would be happy to send over appropriate samples for you to choose from.
