What is audiovisual translation?
Some people call it video translation. Some people call it audio translation. Some direct translation, some a “one-step” translation and some “on-the-fly”. There are probably others. But what actually is it?
We can provide a translation from one language spoken in any audio or video file into another language.
If we assume you require an English translation of what has been said in Lithuanian, the linguist will listen to the speech on the audio or video file and will provide a direct written translation into English much in the same way as an interpreter would interpret what he or she hears verbally.
Our Lithuanian audiovisual translators can include speaker labels and time codes, depending on your requirement. Unless required, no accompanying transcript of the source language spoken is produced.
The quality and speed of output will depend on the clarity of the source media file, so if you’re starting from scratch, please obtain the best quality recording possible.
Time stamps and format
Our Lithuanian audio and video translation service includes 5-minute time code markers as standard. We can however increase the frequency if required to whatever you require, and with some languages, even every word is possible.
Working from either the media player time codes or the burnt in time codes, we can produce the translated transcript in multiple formats including dual language tables.

Northallerton. Did you know that the first fixed-wing flight in aviation history took place in Brompton, North Yorkshire?
The inventor Sir George Cayley designed and built gliders with lift-generating wing-profiles – and had the sense to get his servants to fly them.
The first flight made in one of his aircraft was in 1849, the biplane manned by a 10-year-old boy sadly anonymous; likewise the flight across Brompton Dale in his monoplane in 1853, thought to have been piloted by his coachman or butler.
Scarborough. Did you know that the oldest house so far found in the British Isles was unearthed at the Star Carr site near Scarborough?
It has been dated to approximately 8500BC. The 11 foot wide structure used 18 wooden poles arranged in a circle as its framework.
Archaeologists there also found the oldest evidence of carpentry discovered in Europe, in the form of a platform thought to have been a simple quay.
York. Did you know that a law still apparently on the statute books that makes it legal to shoot a Scotsman in York?
But only with a bow and arrow and definitely not on Sundays.
