Flemish Transcription and Translation from Audio or Video

We can provide a direct translation from any Flemish audio or video file into English.

The linguist will listen to the Flemish speech on the audio or video file and will provide a direct written translation into English much in the same way as an interpreter would interpret what he or she hears verbally.

Our Flemish translators and transcriptionists can include speaker labels and time codes, depending on your requirement.

The quality and speed of output will depend on the clarity of the source media file, so if you’re starting from scratch, please obtain the best quality recording possible.

WHILE YOU’RE HERE... SOME QUITE INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE Flemish LANGUAGE

Flemish also called Flemish Dutch, Belgian Dutch, or Southern Dutch, is any of the varieties of the Dutch language dialects spoken in Flanders, the northern part of Belgium,by approximately 6.5 million people. They differ to some extent from the Dutch spoken in the Netherlands in terms of intonation and pronunciation, and there are minor differences in vocabulary, including loanwords from French and English not found in Standard Dutch.

Linguistically and formally, "Flemish" refers to the region, culture and people of (North) Belgium or Flanders. Flemish people speak (Belgian) Dutch in Flanders, the Flemish part of Belgium. "Belgian Dutch" is slightly different from Dutch spoken in The Netherlands, mainly in pronunciation, lexicon and expressions. Dutch speakers from the Netherlands and Dutch speakers from Belgium may not be able to communicate fluently with each other because Flemish uses different nouns and different pronunciation, and has evolved at a different pace from modern Dutch.
